Purchase Agreement

Purchase Agreement - Terms Of Sale

We test our goats annually for CL, CAE and Johne’s and are proud to say we are a clean herd. (Goats can carry diseases that have the potential to affect their future health and well-being.)

Does and Bucks are registered under the American Dairy Goat Association. All registrations of kids (with the exception of wethers) are completed online at our expense.

Transfers of kids and adult animals sold with registration papers are at Buyer’s expense.

We will always do our best to get at least one fabulous photo of every kid born here.

Kids will be tattooed, up-to-date on coccidiosis preventative, have received all their age appropriate vaccines and wethered (as applicable). (Wethers make wonderful pets as they don't have the hormonal cycles of does, nor the pungent smell of bucks.)

Horns - All kids are disbudded between the ages of 3-8 days. If you have a preference for a horned goat, reach out to us directly at Hello@CloverDreamsFarm.com to chat about your horned goat dreams.

We ensure that kids are healthy and have received proper preventative care before leaving for their new home, and our hope is that they receive the same care once they leave our hands. Once an animal leaves our property, no guarantee is extended.  Out of state buyers are responsible for obtaining health certificates, transportation, and associated fees.

We are not responsible for any injuries or illnesses an animal may acquire during or after transit. Our animals are extremely friendly and people orientated, moving can be stressful so we ask that you have basic medicines on hand to provide proper care if needed. We are available to answer any questions or concerns.

Please let us know if you currently participate in any performance programs. We value the time and dedication that goes into Milk Testing, Linear Appraisals and being an exhibitor at ADGA shows.

The first goat (adult or kid) purchased for a 4-H family is full price. If we see that the animal is shown and well cared for, other animals may be made available to you at a discount.

Any Reservation or Wait List from Clover Dreams gives you options AFTER any retained kids.  We reserve the right to retain any kid bred by our farm at any time, at our discretion.

Goats need goat friends! We only sell our goats to homes that already have goats or plan on multi purchases.  Goats are herd animals and require other goats for companionship.

First Right of Refusal

Selling your Clover Dreams Nigerian? If in the future you decide to sell your Clover Dreams goat, we request the first right of refusal at fair market value.

Deposits/Final Payment

We list our available kids on the For Sale page, typically within the first two weeks after birth. This allows us time to assess their health and viability before making them available for reservation.

To reserve the Nigerian Dwarf goat of your choice from the For Sale page, a non-refundable $100 deposit (per goat) is required. Deposits can be made directly through our website by selecting the “Deposit” option at checkout. We also accept Venmo and Zelle by request.

Goats cannot be held for any amount of time without a deposit. Your deposit secures your chosen goat until pickup.

Goat kids are ready to leave Clover Dreams Farm at eight (8) weeks of age. For buyers experienced with bottle feeding, goat kids may leave as early as four (4) weeks. They are drinking cold milk twice daily and can be transitioned to whole cow’s milk from the grocery store. A bottle nipple will be included to assist with feeding.

All goats must be paid for in full before pickup or transport.

  • Adults/Weaned goats must be picked up within seven (7) days of placing a deposit.

  • Goat kids are ready to leave Clover Dreams Farm between four (4) and eight (8) weeks of age, depending on buyer readiness for bottle feeding. All goat kids must be picked up by eight (8) weeks of age. All wethers will be banded before leaving, following Cornell University’s recommended process, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If pickup or transport does not occur within these timeframes, a $10/day boarding fee will apply, payable in advance of the extended boarding period. Extended boarding is offered solely at the discretion of Clover Dreams Farm.

If you decide not to purchase the goat at any time, your deposit will be forfeited. Clover Dreams Farm reserves the right to retain any kid for our own herd replacement. If that occurs, any payments made toward that kid will be fully refunded.

Optional Services: DNA Testing & Microchipping

All optional services must be paid in full before the service is performed.

Buckling DNA Testing

As of January 1, 2024, ADGA requires bucks born after this date to have DNA on file before any of their offspring can be registered with ADGA. (DNA is not required to register the buck himself).

Clover Dreams Farm can submit a DNA sample on your behalf for a non-refundable $40 service fee, which covers ADGA’s $35 test, postage with tracking, and supplies. ADGA DNA testing service is available only to ADGA members. Buyers who decline are responsible for completing DNA testing directly with ADGA if needed.

Microchipping (Doelings & Bucklings)

Microchips provide permanent identification and serve as a backup to tattoos, especially helpful at ADGA-sanctioned shows. Clover Dreams Farm offers microchipping for $6 per goat.

This is a non-refundable service fee that must be paid prior to the service being performed. If completed before ADGA registration, no additional fees apply. If done after registration, ADGA rates apply to add the microchip number to registration.
